About us
Tani’s Passport to Healing is a dedicated nonprofit organization created in loving memory of my sister, Tani, whose life and spirit continue to inspire everything we do.

Tani passed away at the age of 28 after struggling with substance use. She was deeply loved by many and had a bright, unforgettable spirit. Fun, quirky, and always living in the moment, Tani had a natural way of bringing joy to those around her. She was compassionate, caring, and had a heart for others especially those who felt unseen or misunderstood.
Tani was one of eleven siblings and the youngest of seven sisters, a role she embraced with humor, energy, and love. She was passionate about sports, especially basketball and football, and dreamed of becoming a sports coach. Determined and driven, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in Sports Management, carrying a future filled with promise and possibility.
Like so many others, Tani’s journey was complex. While in college, she began to struggle with substance use an experience that did not define who she was, but deeply impacted her life and the people who loved her. Her story reflects the reality that substance use can affect anyone, regardless of talent, dreams, or support.
Tani’s Passport to Healing exists to honor her legacy by supporting individuals, families, and couples impacted by substance use. We believe healing is rooted in connection, shared experiences, and creating meaningful memories things Tani valued deeply. Through this work, we aim to create spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and reminded that they are more than their struggles.
This is our way of carrying Tani’s light forward by fostering hope, strengthening relationships, and helping others experience life fully, together
Tani’s Passport to Healing is not just an organization — it is a legacy of love, connection, and the belief that everyone deserves the chance to heal and be seen.
We believe that everyone has the right to heal, thrive, and contribute positively to their communities.
Our mission
Tani’s Passport to Healing Foundation empowers families affected by substance abuse to reclaim connection by reconnecting hearts, rebuilding bonds, and creating new memories through transformative experiences rooted into love, understanding, and hope for the future.

Our vision
We envision a world where healing is accessible to everyone, and where individuals feel empowered to take charge of their wellness journey, leading to healthier communities.
